About the Date Difference Calculator
Find exactly how much time lies between two dates: the difference in years, months and days, the total number of days and weeks, and the number of business days (Monday to Friday). Turn on "Include end date" when you want to count both the first and last day, such as for the length of a holiday or a contract.
The second calculator adds or subtracts days, weeks, months or years from a date. When adding months lands on a day that does not exist, such as 31 January plus one month, the result is the last day of the month (28 or 29 February).

Frequently asked questions
How are business days counted?
Every Monday to Friday between the two dates is counted. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded. Public holidays are not excluded because they vary by country.
What does "include end date" do?
By default the difference from 1 March to 3 March is 2 days. Including the end date counts both days, giving 3 days.
What happens when I add a month to 31 January?
February has no 31st, so the result is clamped to the last day of February: 28 February, or 29 February in a leap year.
