    Frequently asked questions

Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?

Yes. Set the "Start at" value, for example 5 if your document continues from a previous one.

What happens when I skip the first page?

The first page gets no number, and numbering begins on page 2 using your start number. "Of N" then counts only numbered pages.

Will the numbers cover my content?

Numbers are placed in the page margin area, about half an inch from the edge. Choose a different position if your document has content there.
